Why does the same size measure differently across bangle types?

Bangle sizes like 2.4 or 2.6 are traditional labels, not exact measurements. Each bangle type is made on a different mold, so the real inner diameter of a 2.6 Bala is not the same as a 2.6 Diamond. That is why we measured every type we carry and published the actual numbers.

I am between two sizes. Which one should I pick?

Choose the larger one. A bangle that is slightly roomy is comfortable to wear and easy to slip on; one that is slightly tight may not pass over your knuckles at all.

How accurate are these measurements?

We measured each bangle type by hand with a ruler across the inner opening. Small variations of about a millimeter can occur between production batches, which is normal for handcrafted bangles.

I am buying a gift and do not know her size. What should I do?

Measure a bangle you own

The most reliable method: measure a bangle that already fits you well.

Take a bangle that fits you comfortably.

Place it on a flat surface and lay a ruler across the widest part of the inner opening.

Read the inner diameter in centimeters, from inside edge to inside edge.

Match it against the measured chart of the bangle type you want below.

Tips for an Accurate Fit

Bangles are slip-on: they must pass over your knuckles, so the hand measurement matters more than the wrist.
When between sizes, choose the larger one for comfort.
Measure at the end of the day, hands swell slightly by evening.
